My favorite thing about them is the way the seeds explode out of their pods when you touch them. (If ready.) Um... that sounds dirtier than I meant it to.

We used to call it Sweet Grass when I was growing up. I remember plucking it out of my lawn and gnawing on it a bit. It's a good thing we never decided to use lawn fertilizer or pesticides!

I find chewing a small bit is soothing to canker sores and such. Sweetened iced wood sorrel tea is nice, kind of like lemonade.
