Mmm, post-Apocalyptic nutrition! The Tucson food magazine Edible Baja Arizona has a feature in the current edition on eating insects. To paraphrase Marie Antoinette: Let them eat grasshoppers! http://www.ediblebajaarizona.com/gather-round-grasshoppers/

I was nodding along until I got to the part about how I should take nutrition advice from early hominids and wild animals. But what do I know? I've been in a brain fog, mentally and physically exhausted for the past 16 years.

Well snarked. I really like your comments about paleo on FB as well.

"Brain fog"? I'm not a proper vegan currently and make occasional forays into cheesetown, but for all my 12 years on that diet I never suffered brain fog, tiredness, or that other great one they love to slag us about, impaired libido. People who have something against vegans are always so defensive and like to throw around frankly weird accusations.

I also find people who use "by design" and "nature" arguments to determine what humans should do to be generally quite creepy.

Looks like an interesting book. Wonder if they've created 'cockroach cassorole' yet ;)
