The worst taxidermy I've ever seen was in some weird little dingy museum in Fort Wayne, Indiana; the specimens were poorly prepared, showing their age badly, and you could tell that some of them had survived a fire at some point in their past. It was a contributing factor to NOT moving to Fort Wayne.

Cool. Looks like an oak leave. Presumably the risk of oak galls is worth it!
