I was really torn. I have rules - I won't vote for something I haven't heard, and I avoid voting for big things that everyone votes for. I broke rule number one for Kate Miller-Heidke because I know her, and for Laura Imbruglia because she's awesome. But I avoided all Lily Allen because I figured she'd be all over it anyway. Also, you told me about OK Go too late, or I would have totally been there too. I'm still totally out of touch with 'in' music. Oh well.

I think I love the Hottest 100 this year.

oh man, we were watching the Video stream for the top 20, and Gotye's film clip for Hearts a Mess = SO pretty. Wow.
and OK Go came in at 14, I'm so proud of the boys <3

I agree with your 'not voting for things you haven't heard' rule, I actually had to stop myself from breaking it on Sarah Blasko. (I love her, but I hadn't heard ANY of her album yet [I did try, really]) but I tend to vote on the 10 songs of the year I loved the most.

and I was skeptical on how good this year's would be, because I haven't been as into listening to the radio as I was 2005, and when voting was surprised at how short my short list was, but it was amazingly good. Not too much emo, not too much of anything really. (could have done with just one you am i song though. *grin*)

I haven't seen the clip, I must look for it. Oh, but I love that song so. I can't believe I voted for a top ten song. That is so unlike me!

I still didn't like most of it (because I am a cribbly music miser) but there was enough to win me. I had 20 songs on my shortlist!! Unheard of.

yeah, it's grand, isn't it? I haven't listened to the radio in so long, most of this stuff I've picked up from friends. Totally better than usual. How excitement. perhaps I should hope for the world again.

I'm eating really well at the mo too well not as good as you but i have an interview to do drug testing on thurs and i need to get my BMI down one point...
