wOOt wOOt for the first time in a long time I have liked some vaguely popular music, so I am excited about the
hottest 100. So for posterity, before we're too far in, here is what I voted for: (eta where they came in at)

Camille - Ta Douleur (26)
Gotye - Coming Back
Gotye - Hearts A Mess (8)

OK GO - Here It Goes Again
Bob Evans - Don't You Think It's Time
Bob Evans - Nowhere Without You
Camille - Ta Douleur
Augie March - One Crowded Hour
Angus & Julia Stone - Paper Aeroplane
Lily Allen - Alfie

I think I love the Hottest 100 this year.

and OK Go came in at 14, I'm so proud of the boys <3
I agree with your 'not voting for things you haven't heard' rule, I actually had to stop myself from breaking it on Sarah Blasko. (I love her, but I hadn't heard ANY of her album yet [I did try, really]) but I tend to vote on the 10 songs of the year I loved the most.
and I was skeptical on how good this year's would be, because I haven't been as into listening to the radio as I was 2005, and when voting was surprised at how short my short list was, but it was amazingly good. Not too much emo, not too much of anything really. (could have done with just one you am i song though. *grin*)

I still didn't like most of it (because I am a cribbly music miser) but there was enough to win me. I had 20 songs on my shortlist!! Unheard of.
