she's just a girl, just a girl, the girl you want

This weekend, I enjoyed a party.
Now, I'm really bad at parties, so this is a big deal. It was Anna's housemate's 25th, and it was 90s themed (which in itself is scary - the decade of my youth is long enough ago to have a theme party about it...). The music made us all nostalgic. So I was concerned about the party, because Lindsay is a trendy, ( Read more... )

I know, isn't it??? Why I have I never thought about it? It keeps them cool, and in the morning you just drain out the water! Brilliance!'

And with the skin compliments, thankee. I pay homage to the Spaniards in my bloodline. All hail thee historical Spaniards.

yeah, weren't they dreadful? In high school we used to refer to them as 'five-ive'. Generally, they're utterly forgettable, I feel. Except some little part of me won't let me forget them.

I think the party idea was great, but it made me feel SO OLD. I'm not old, I'm not old, right??? RIGHT?

thanks! most of my 90s was spent obsessing about Tank Girl so it seemed only fitting. And I've got so much random crap sewn into my hair that my costume options are limited. unless I want to go as a pirate, which is getting pretty old. As a costume I mean, not as a life choice.

hmm, I like that photo too. I look surprisingly happy, seeing as I'm at a party.

Oh Pauli, you're sweet. I think you're pretty and you don't believe me. But thankyou for the lovely compliments and niceness.

Ok, so the story with knowing the words to 5ive. In year 10 I hated textiles but all my friends did it, and they had a fashion parade of their makings. I had nothing else to do so I ended up watching most of the rehearsals, and someone was catwalking to that song. I heard it SO. MANY. TIMES. So when we were discussing the music options for the party someone mentioned Five and i sang the chorus of 'when the lights go out' to everyone's extreme astonishment. So they waited till i was pissed, then put it on.

And don't tell anyone... i have a secret soft spot for oops i did it again... it's so easy to mock! it makes me wish i was a boy, then I'd perform it as a drag queen.

And it's true. Hips DON'T lie.
