HP Ficness

I am getting entirely sick of seeing one particular brand of OotP fic- but I can't seem to stop reading it anyway.

Yep, it's... (infamous Death Spoilers!) )

It's just like Nuriko!deathfics, and post-zero-system!Quatre fics, it's so there and obvious and everybody has to take a stab at it or something.

I thought of one, but I don't think I'll write it. Not when everybody else has. :p

And see, I could never write Quatre that well, don't ask me why, so that one never occured to me, either. And it's not even the subject that bothers me, though it's getting old- Mostly what it is, is that a lot of these people are really good, and the most creative thing they can come up with is grieving!Remus?

I'd read yours, though. 'Cause, you know, you're good, and I'm Slytherin: we live for double standards. :)

It's cos Remus is the Willy Loman of the HP world. We all relate to him (possibly because he really, outside of teaching, doesn't have much personality, so we can give him one that suits us).

And nobody really wanted Sirius to go down. I mean, nobody savoured his death like they would have savoured Umbridge's.

That having been said *cough* http://dead-sirius.blog-city.com *cough*

My personal favourite Overdone!Fic lately is anythiing with Veil in the title. :D

Thanks for the link- there's some really funny stuff there. :)

What, you mean there are some that don't have Veil in the title? Yep. Beyond the Veil (everybody's favorite ripoff), Through the Viel, The Other Side Of The Veil...

I'm waiting for Dance of the Seven Veils, myself. Or possibly some imaginative soul will come up with Veiled in Mystery or better yet, Veil of Tears...

"So FictionAlley seems to have changed their submission guidelines a bit; they'll take anything 500 words or over. "

I think that was always the case, wasn't it?

You're probably right, and I just now noticed it because usually I don't submit things there.
