Oh, I think I had this wireless card for awhile! How 'bout that. And if it's any consolation, I had to upgrade my on-board wireless card driver after only 2 years of ownership. One day, for no apparent reason, the WiFi in my office started making my laptop crash to the blue screen every time I tried to enable wireless. Driver upgrade did the trick.
Anyway, out of curiosity, I did some Google-surfing. Found out the Orinoco line has gone through three different owners over the years, and their latest manufacturer, Proxima didn't seem to have much to offer on their site.
But I did find this page, over on Opendrivers.com, which offers a driver upgrade for the "Orinoco Classic" model, whatever that means. Hope this is helpful, or that it at least gets you pointed in the right direction.
Aww, thanks so much for looking this up! I've been hitting my head against the wall all day trying to figure this one out.
Turns out our DSL modem is defective, in addition to whatever may or may not be up with my network card. So I figure we'll get that swapped out, 'cause that sure as hell can't be helping. :)
