You really shouldn't call Jimmy Wales "founder" of Wikipedia, as it discredits the important early contributions of Dr. Larry Sanger (including bringing to the table the wiki premise, and naming "Wikipedia"). Only Wales seems hell-bent on crafting a revised history where he is somehow not merely "a co-founder" of Wikipedia.
I've been discovering that for detailed information about a topic, Google Books is running circles around Wikipedia. For example, if you are looking for information about why General William B. Franklin halted at Annandale during the Civil War, Wikipedia gives you no insight.
But if you conduct a logical search on Google Books, you'll soon have a plethora of sources which adeptly answer your question:
