I think it does, but it's been enduring fanon that the Striders are not so well off in the end; I think mainly because the apartment is sort of shitty with more stuff than furniture, because the fridge is full of swords and not food, and mainly the bottom line is that people like making Dave sad.

A kid is in any case the biggest expense you can get barring an elephant.

Night had fallen. One of the girl trolls had lit up gorgeously, a softly glowing ornament, and she was being worshipped by multiple moths as their queen.
This is a really vivid image. And oh how I so love how you write Ms. Lalonde. (I laughed at "Violet", btw.)

I have come up with a lot of terrible fanonical names for the parents and I still think the cleverest one out there is Ambrose for Bro Strider, but I got a good hyuck out of 'Violet.'
