Crazy love - the ghost drabble (4)
“Dear Kame,
How are you? I’m fine even though the weather isn’t great and - oh yes, you broke my heart into tiny pieces-”
Crap. He can’t write that. And where’s that silly ghost when he needs it?! Let’s start again.
“Kame,
What you told me made me think a lot about us. You don’t realize how much I need you, love you all the time and never leave you. Please come on back to me. I’m lonely as can be. I miss you…”
Not sure George Harrison would appreciate him stealing his lyrics. Moreover he can’t get all “I’ve got my mind set on you” on Kame or he’d scare the young man off.
“Urameshiyan〜”
The ghost’s just appeared (out of nowhere as usual - which made him jump as usual). Still, somehow he’s relieved to see it.
“How are you today, sweetie? Feeling better?”
From the heartache or the terrible hangover he got from all they drunk last night?
“Have you finished the letter?”
Jin shakes his head. It seemed easy when they talked about it yesterday, the ghost gave him lots of ideas - and look at him now struggling to put two words together… He sighs.
“That’s all you’ve got?!” the ghost exclaims, a little angry.
“It’s not easy”
“I told you to write down all your feelings.”
“And how do you think that is easy? It’s bloody difficult. The words won’t come out the way I’d like them to and - and I’m so scared to actually lose Kame…”
“Don’t go there again. I got the picture yesterday… What happened to all the ideas you thought of?”
“I don’t know. They just sound - well, rather plain.”
“They were all so sweet though. Come on, love! You can do it. Let’s order some white Sauvignon. I’m sure you’ll be back on track in no time.”
That ghost’s truly unbelievable!
“Maybe you just need a good start.
The ghost seems deep in thoughts.
“Kame,
Meeting you was the miracle I was waiting for…”
Jin smiles.
“You’re quite the poet yourself, aren’t you?”
“You’re right - I suppose it’s too formal. Why don’t you just write all what’s on your heart? I know you’re used to writing lyrics but -”
“Ok, ok”
“Kame,
I love you. I know I’ve been stupid (really really stupid) so far. I’m sorry I gave you the impression I didn’t care for you or made you feel insecure. The thing is - I’m the one who’s insecure. I can’t believe my luck to be with you and don’t want to lose you. Please stay with me.”
“That’s not bad” the ghost comments.
“I’m not sure-”
“Send it! Do it now!”
“Wait-”
“Now, do it!”
Quickly Jin puts the letter in the envelope on which he wrote Kame’s address. He sticks a stamp on it and gives it to “le garçon d’étage”.
“Well done. I’m so proud of you〜 Don’t you feel relieved?”
“You’re joking?! I’m even more of a nervous wreck now.”
“I see - you can’t stand still. Calm down.”
“What about some more wine?” Jin offers (to the ghost’s surprise).
“Now you’re the one reading my mind.”
