I guess my question would be, "Why are they together?" Ishida apparently has the hots for Urahara, and Urahara has a thing for Ishida's stubbornness, but perhaps some more insight into their thoughts might help...

Fair play. If anything look at the chapter as a prologue (Only just decided, hence lack of mention in A/N)

You'll see where this is going in later chapters. The next chapter is pretty much how everything begins.
