I've thought about it - but I don't have time for the production aspect. As in, I'll read whatever you want (it's not like I don't spend 2-4hrs a week recording and listening to my own voice yammer on, anyway) ... I just can't be involved in the organization/production of it.
I've never done podfic specifically. But I know for our podcast - my producer/editor spends several days editing. Of course, that's a conversation and so there is more to edit. But it would still be a process.
And - for some reason when I read this I thought: "Marta wants a podcast that churns out tvd podfic" (like Strangely Literal, the Whedonverse podcast that produces a podfic on a pretty regular basis) ... something like that would require a team of people finding, reading, deciding on fic to produce - several voice actors, and a producer. Not to mention a site and internet space.
Podcasting is it's own world, dearie. And it's not a simple thing.
I think just turning one of your own pieces into a podfic and starting from there would be lovely and might allow you to see what is involved. But a long-term solution to the complete ~lack of podfic in the tVD fandom. Girl. PROJECT.
Whoa, I didn't have anything that organized in mind! I'm certainly not fit to run a project like that XD. This was just a random thought that I had, because, well, we don't have podfic in this fandom.
OMG would you? To be honest, I was selfishly thinking about stuff I could listen to while performing dull household activities. But I'd also be thrilled to have something of mine in audio, because I'm vain like that.
I don't want to record myself reading any fic in English because my intonation is really funky when I read out loud. But I can think of a few authors I'd love to have in audio, so I thought I'd do some good old filthy enabling.
I WOULD! Which fic would you maybe wanna do? I might be total crap at it, but honestly I kinda enjoy doing readings. I took a poetry class last spring where I had to do a reading for a grade (instead of writing a paper) and I was super into it.
I dunno, I think there can be a charm to having a foreign intonation to English. It just brings personality to it, yanno. You should think about doing it! In addition to assigning me one to read :))))))

Hmm, must ponder. If you don't want to record yourself reading your fic, might I offer to read one of yours for you?
