overall i think it's pretty good. even though it wasn't as short and simple as the others i've read by you, i liked the style. my favorite part was how she reacted when he picked up the phone, how her tears fell and so on.
I like how you opened with dialogue. I don't know the characters very well but I liked Cassie more at the beginning of your story. I felt bad for her while she was trying to run away from the problem, but not so much at the very end.
I thought it was effective how you mentioned the flower again. That's a good thing in writing (like how in comedy the magic number of repeating things is 3). It really connects each part of the story.
i'm not really sure if you're looking for criticism or whether you're just looking for opinions, or neither. but as a whole, i thought the story was pretty good and i'd be interested in reading another like this.
yeah well cassie has a lot of issues and that's just how she is. she really would've told him that it was alright to go because she's a people pleaser kind of. well she just loves him and if you know someone doesn't love you back then why would you make them stay?
