I'll be damned. I only had time to scan it, but it looks like we are agreed that eliminating the secret ballot is a good thing? I'll read it in more detail at dinner.

As it turned out, I had some free time and was able to read the whole thing. George and I are on the same page as far as no card check and no forced arbitration if no contract in 120 days.

George left out half the equation in this statement:
"As George has said, there are real issues with the current system for organizing workplaces. Employers do violate current law and, in ways both legal and illegal, pressure workers against collective bargaining."

If George does not know unions step over the line at least as often as management, then George is leading a seriously sheltered life. In recent times management does not send thugs armed with tire billies to help someone make up their mind or discourage out spoken criticism of their position. You are right on everything. I'm getting tons of propaganda from my union on this already. They see secret ballots and holding a vote as "costly and over burdensome" steps in the process. Yeah, I'll be they do.
