Just read the Catholic Answers thing:
"The term homophobic refers to fear of homosexuality. This term often is used by homosexual activists to end rational discussion of the issue by accusing their opponents of having an irrational fear. This is unjust. One can disagree with and be critical of a behavior without having a fear of it."They completely misunderstand what they mean by "phobic". Xenophobia is a fear of foreigners. You take a typical xenophobe and tell them they are scared of foreigners and they might well say "heck, I'm not scared of them. Those poles/gooks/chinks/etc. come around here I won't be frightened to face them. They'll see for themselves!" The problem is that the whole view that the arrival of foreigners might warrant a fight in the first place is a clear sign of fear ( ... )
