It's the strangest thing. Every time I hear this song, I'm vividly taken back to an early morning drive after an incredibly random party I was at the night before. Hands down this song. I'm a secret Rush fan... which is not much of a secret. To my poor friends anyway. This became the theme song during a summer out in Arizona, when I was digging up Anasazi Indian houses for school credit... you know, when I wanted to try out archaeology. Duh.

I have a ton of those, but I suppose this is the most recent one- it was introduced to me by a dear friend of mine during our semester abroad, and quickly became 'our song'

To say I hate this song would be an overstatement. But the social implications it's voicing is something I'm deadly against. So... close enough.

So yes. Day one. This was incredibly hard to choose, as I can't just pick one. But my favorite band is Iron and Wine, and this being one of my favorite songs by them, I guess this works for this purpose. If anything it captures all of my favorite aspects of the kind of music I like.
