A Night at Writer's Block

WB is one of the venues you hear about and learn to look out for as a slammer, so I was very excited to be a part of the show last night. I'd intended to slam, but Bev insisted I sacrifice - luckily, I got to perform two poems anyway. but decided that a collection of Montaigne's essays would be more useful at this juncture.

I really should peruse the shelves at KK instead of just coming for poetry and then bailing. Now I wish I would have been able to hang longer and chat. I quote him constantly and am always looking for his works.

Oh yeah: the only thing you missed out on was how much merch we push at our reading. Next time, bring more!
