I’ve just paid $63.95 to get into Tampa’s Central Park: Busch Gardens. This is a theme park that actually purports to have a theme. I think about this. thank you for giving me a reason to boycott busch gardens. i didn't know they had animals in there. and now you have a reason to boycott zoos too--those animals shouldn't be in cages, exploited for our ridiculous amusement. they don't deserve this. we shouldn't endorse it with our money or in any way whatsoever. i'm glad you feel for the lion too.

Welcome to the zoo. :( Chances are that lion was born in captivity, so that small stretch of space is really all he knows. And he probably wouldn't be able to survive on his own if he was set free, either, so he's pretty much stuck where he is. (I'm actually surprised to hear a lion was out and about during the day -- they're usually nocturnal. All the times I've been to zoos, I've never seen a lion awake.)

Busch Gardens is about the beer. Always has been, always will be.
