Dreamwidth and other mediums

Tumblr is gaining a lot of popularity in the Simming community, and it seems that LJ Simmers are moving on to different mediums. Also, I've recently learned that LiveJournal is going through some major changes, including shutting down their US offices. I'm thinking more and more of migrating over to Dreamwidth too. I like Tumblr but not for Sims stuff so much - the opportunities to interact aren't as good IMO, because of limited reply options and so on. I like Tumblr for other things. But DW seems extremely similar to LJ so that's a thought... possibly see you there! I sure hope LJ isn't going the way of the dodo though!

I feel the same way about Tumblr. It feeds my need for pretty Sim pictures, but that's about it. I can't make individual compliments on a photo easily. Heck, I can't even see notes on my own photos sometimes.

Dreamwidth seems a lot like LiveJournal so far, but I can crosspost to my LJ at the same time at DW. I may post updates there, and just tick the box to cross-post them here.

I really like LJ, and it's got a wonderful Simming community, but I'd hate to be caught unprepared if it did close.

I don't think LJ is as active as it used to be, but it's still my favorite place to check out stories and downloads and stuff. Tumblr is a lot of fun if you like posting a couple pics here and there. Honestly, I like and check both. I'll def. add you on tumblr. :D

LiveJournal is definitely my preference for storytellers, and it's a lot easier to find new downloads here than at Tumblr. Sometimes I get overwhelmed over there with all the new posts, reblogging and all that.

Tumblr is nice for sharing little WIPs and sneak-peeks of things.
