Sunshine by Robin McKinley (any anything else by her)
To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee (although I haven't been able to read that one more than twice)
The Haunted Monastery by Robert van Gulik
Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury (one of my favorites)
The Inferno by Dante Alighieri (I haven't read the other two parts of the 'Divine Comedy' yet)
