EEP! Well I don't know what you wanted it to be, but I really like it! Gah! I always feel so special when fics are for me! All warm and happy like they have bows on them or something! I love how this is all about mood, you really set the feeling of deja-vu nicely with your wording and pacing and the lack of direct dialog. I love that style. This is very much them and all we know them to be, the lies and aversion mixed with real sincerity and desire, but it still feels new. I love the bits of their relationship you sprinkled throughout. There's no overkill, it's skillfully subtle. Fabulous, darling, a keeper.

because the smile she puts on for him feels right and familiar and true.

Oh, yes, there is such truth there.

Ugh, I love them, more than I should after all they've put me through, but oh I can't help it!

Haha, well, consider this fic gift-wrapped! ;) I am really glad that you liked it! These two usually come so easily but lately they've really been a blood-sweat-and-tears struggle, so I'm glad it wasn't completely awful. Thank you so much for the awesome comment!! And gah, I know. But it'll pay off eventually and then it'll be worth it, right? ;)

Oh this is wonderful!! I'm sure you get this a lot, but you've got these two down pat, seriously. You can paint a beautiful story with words and I truly enjoy reading every second of it.

"He smiles and ducks his head a little bit, almost shy, and it's just about the most damn endearing thing she's ever seen."

I love that line, so true haha!

Haha, that line is silly but it's really my favorite. ;) Thanks so much for reading and for the lovely comment! :D

Your writing is so beautiful and thoughtful and atmospheric it just blows me away. So gorgeous. And as always you capture these two perfectly, I love the little call backs, the counting to five, rubbing her wrists. You get this real sense of longing, this feeling that they know each other even though they shouldn't.

Amazing work.
