This is amazing, I really am in awe of what you can do with words and how you can shape them to fit these characters so well. I love your Jate, I really do. The writers of the actual show can make me hate them from time to time, but you always remind me what I love them. Such a beautiful style, such a great little piece. Wonderful.

Oh wow, thank you so much for the very kind words about my writing! :D I'm so flattered that you say careful, because this was written completely on the spur of the moment and I found it very strange--so yay! I think crafty is my new favorite word. ;)

And of course I'm thrilled that you were okay with my Kate! She is a really terrifying character to tackle, mostly because, as a shipper, I feel like I can only write her in the way that she relates to other people, like Jack here. I really wish we had been given a scene like this--mostly because it takes Aaron out of the equation, and I have many problems with the Kate/Aaron/happy home in L.A. storyline.

I know I'll sound like a broken record again, but guh - this is so, so beautiful! Wow. Absolutely and incredibly beautiful. Your writing style is flawless and utterly wonderful as always - the atmosphere you have created here is amazing - and I love how you portrayed Jack's and Kate's relationship, they both feel so perfectly in-character: your Jack always, always kills me and Kate's characterization is spot-on and perfect. I have to admit that I am starting to like J/K, they really, really are intriguing and so wonderfully fucked up and broken, and you captured that perfectly (please feel responsible for being one of my main reasons for falling for this pairing ;)). Guh. Wonderful fic!

I just love to read comments like yours;it reminds me of years ago,when some accused Jack&Kate to be flat, boring and obvious. I've always thought that what they said couldn't be further from what J&K in truth were. In fact,they kept growing complicated,deeper and more challenging day by day. This fic captures the beautiful mess that J&K are perfectly.
