LJ Idol Week 8: What the new year will bring

This year was filled with so much change and so many new things. In no real order: I moved, stop speaking with my best friend, experienced the best and worst feelings of my life to date (at the hands of the same boy), got new glasses, turned 19, went on several summer roadtrips with my favorite people, graduated with a 3.7 unweighted gpa, went to ( Read more... )

As volatile and crazy as my 18-19 year-old self was, I wouldn't take any of it back. Sounds like this has happened to you, too. :^)

Yeah,but I think the best of the best is 19-22. It's fun afterwards, but that is a much more optimistic time.

Your entry stands out because most people that are looking back at 2007 seem to be looking at their failures and wanting to improve and instead, you're looking back and seeing how it made you exactly who you are today. That's one hell of a refreshing breath of air that you just gave me. Thank you, sincerely.

Thank you so much! I agree, while I feel a lot of hope and optimism in many of the posts this round, nobody really seems to think that 2007 was that great. A huge sentiment is "wow, sure glad that's over; how can I make 2008 better?" I'm thinking...oh my god, how COULD 2008 be better?

It's already doing a pretty good job, though :D
