Politicians and the whole general system lend themselves so well to this kind of fic, don't they? I find it so hard to write fluff for this reason, and reading this kind of fic stops me from falling too far into a cushy fantasy Clameron land.

Yes, politics is wonderful for this. You've got all these motivations which are so much more interesting than just two cute-ish men! I like your stuff hugely, by the way.

*shudders* Oh this reminds me of the early, pre-coalition stuff, where DCam is such a bastard and it shouldn't - shouldn't - be hot... But then that's what dragged me down to hell into this fandom to begin with, and that's why I find these kinda fics evoking SUCH emotion from me, time after time.
