Yes! Also, it can be fun to share a WIP but also ruin it, dependeing on expectations. Suddenly you find yourself wondering if this was the way your own brain really wanted it to turn out - at the same time, input is of great value. Difficult balance.
I've learned a lot from those about writing from craft rather than from pure instinct, and about hunting out the elements in them that do go with my instincts so the stories work.
I'd like to get there too. Takes a lot of hard work, IMO. Good for you! :-)
