I'm compiling a list of Indian names for the Story-Games Names Project, which is an effort to compile lists of names from a variety of sources. Hopefully you remember my first/last -- midddle name is Prodeep. (How's that for trivia?) Also spellable as Pradeep and so forth. Are you concerned at all with ethnic/language groups?

Oh, I should have said - I'm personally compiling north Indian names just at the moment, but south Indian names are also good.

It'd be possible to go into more detail than that, and I think there might be a third list for Muslim~Arabic names, but I don't think that more than three partitions will be super useful, for the application the names project is intended.

Thanks! Now I have like twice as many girls' names as boys' (I could remember more girl names too), but that's okay...
