2) Simon Pegg is Scotty? What happened to Paul? This makes me sad :(

3) nobody is listed on imdb for McCoy, so there is still hope for DH!

Simon Pegg to play scotty - he con't for one he'll have to have a scottish accient and he doesn't so it's not right because scotty in the original series scottish so they need a scottish actor like Paul i can't think what's his last name is but he's of stargate atlantis.

The guy who's playing Kirk he looks all right byt he's nothing like Kirk (William Shatner) from the series. But David Tennant or John Barrowman would be great to play him.

For McCoy - I think David H. (Atlantis) would be also great to play him.

Paul McGillion (Carson on SGA) did audition for the part. (Paul's actually not completely Scottish his family moved to Canada when he was a baby, but you'd never be able to tell he's that awesome).

I don't know if I'd ever be happy with whoever they cast as Kirk, but I do know I definately don't like this guy that imdb has.

and David Hewlett has hinted in his blog that he would like to play McCoy.

Alas, I don't know who the guy they cast for Kirk is. I was kinda hoping for Nathan Fillion, just because I love him. I actually know nothing about Star Trek. I like Simon Pegg well enough, but Paul would definitely have been better! *crosses fingers for David*

In The Princess Diaries 2 he plays not the dude Mia gets engaged to, but the other one whose uncle wants him to take the throne... idk. he's just... not Kirk! (I know plenty about Star Trek :D)
