I tried and failed to find the post where over a year ago I asked on patdslashseek if anyone had written any fics where any of the boys were Gypsies. Mostly I got a lot of blank stares in response.
I would probably flip out if you actually wrote a "magic gypsy au thing" so I certainly voted for that one.
I had an idea for a fic about them a while back, but it never happened. I may try to write it again one day.
well, they wouldn't be like actualfax gypsies, because it's definitely a fantasy story where dragons and magic and all kinds of things exist. ask me sometime and I can totally send you the chatlogs where I talk about the idea in ridiculous detail (it all came out one day I was talking to clarityhiding for like... six hours or something because I wanted some bob/jon/spencer and it all just came spilling out :D)
Would they have cool clothes and maybe caravans? Cause that's really all I need. =)
Gypsies are such a great realm and there's everything from persecution fics to magic fics and they're so close to the whole circus/festival stuff that People love about Panic and yet no one has written a single fic with them. I think it's high time. I support anything you could write that would even somewhat resemble a Gypsy AU.
