book: Trainspotting by Irvine Welsh
it's fantastic, and incredibly horrifically gross at points, but I love it so fucking much. I've only ever seen the movie once, so I can't really tell you which is better, but this is hands down one of my most favorite books ever.

found this at anon_lovefest last night and holy fucking crap, I love it to teeny tiny bits <3 brendon/ryan (i don't even usually LIKE this ship (i think they need somebody to balance out their crazy), it's that awesome) kind of corpse bride auish type thing and I just seriously. *hands* go read it. although, i have yet to read it without crying, just fyi.
