I say first do a list and prices on your personal journal in a public entry, then proceed with doing it in batches so the comments don't get too confusing. And what has helped me enormously is making a google docs spreadsheet or excel spreadsheet to keep track of buyers' info and statuses (lj name, email, paid/unpaid, cost to ship, date shipped, tracking #, feedback page, etc.)!
Honestly I would do a little bit each week so it's not too overwhelming. i made a selling template in word and just reuse it every time i sell something replacing names, prices, and photos. it makes it really quick and easy.
I would save a few of your VERY VERY favorite things, or things you think you can transition into more "normal" fashion. and sell the rest of it if you feel sure, then you can always gradually sell the rest later. :)
I always sold in one go, just to make things easier, but it can be overwhelming. I just found it easier to do it all at once.
Maybe make a list and prices, and offer to friends first, and that way you wouldn't have to take pictures of those items (since we've most likely seen them and know you keep them in good condition). Then the rest on the comm? Just an idea to help things along.
I'm sad you're quitting but I totally understand. Maybe keep 1 or 2 really special dresses and sell the rest that you don't care as much about? I still have Lady Rose (and want to get Rose Toilette) since those are my favorites and I still want to wear lolita every once in a while.
