Ack! *sobs* Dammit, boys. We all know you actually have a psychic connection and just stubbornly ignore it so that you can laugh while we all bite our nails and threaten to shake you. *bites nails* It's working, dammit.

Very hurty, love.

Yes. This. *flails*

My only complaint is that I wish it were longer! Very well done.

Thanks, babe, I'm flattered you liked it. I wanted it to be longer too, but it just wouldn't happen;)

Love the idea of Dean just descending on Sam at Stanford not necessarily just because he's hurt physically, but then shying away because he doesn't want to ruin Sammy's "normal". Oh boys... Perfect ending too.

Oh this is incredibly painful and perfectly in character!

This:
"flashes Sam the grin he’s spent his entire life perfecting. The one that says ‘I-don’t-give-a-shit-and-everything’s-great’ all wrapped up in one, perfectly executed, eye-crinkling smile."

And this:
"Something inside Dean almost gives. There’s no Dad, drunken or otherwise back at the motel, hell there isn’t even a motel because Dean has only $26 in his pocket and he needs that for gas and caffeine. He’s already used $15 tonight on gauze pads and tape, money down the toilet he thinks because his jeans are feeling pretty soaked right now. Sam’s young face looks so earnest and maybe if he wasn’t bleeding like a stuck pig he might have accepted the offer. But Dean doesn’t want to subject his brother to the horror of the bloody gash in his side and the equally horrific story about the hunt that caused it. Sam is happy now, has a life, a good life and a nice girl."

...are some of the most perfect sentences about Dean I've seen!
