These days while going to see a new movie, I've learned a little trick. When I go see a movie based on a comic book, or some other much-loved franchise, I try to have the lowest expectations possible. We know what travesties can be done to the heroes we love, such that I won't even cite examples. So now, I just preemptively disappoint myself with

You covered some important elements in two movies I have not yet seen, and your knowledgeable perspective in terms of how they relate to the greater mythos of each series is a breath of fresh air as far as most movie reviews I've ever read.

Your take on Green Lantern was honestly the one I wanted to hear most and I have given it much weight due to how much you enjoy the series as a whole.

I think I might write something like this when Captain America comes out.
