It happened quite often, lately.
Nao liked it and yet felt a little embarrassed every time.
But it was worth it.
There was nothing like this warmth he felt in every meaning of the word in every cell of his being, when he woke up next to him, refreshed, relaxed and somewhat rejuvenated.
Almost every night he spent with Tora, he would bed his head on the tall guitarist's shoulder to look past his broad chest at his laptop screen, set up on soft sheets. They'd watch a few episodes of an anime or two, maybe a movie.
But that wasn't what he enjoyed the most.
Because then, with Tora's steady heartbeat under his pads, that strong arm around him, Nao would start to feel his eyes fall shut.
And then, Tora wouldn't ask Hey, did you fall asleep?. No, he'd study the drummer's breathing, how his upper arm felt beneath his caress, and when he wasn't sure yet, he'd hold up a hand to block Nao's view.
And then, Nao wouldn't complain about missing the show, he'd already be fast asleep, feeling warm and safe, letting go of the world to lean on his love.
Tora would quietly shut the laptop's lid, place it on the nightstand and switch off the dim lamp.
He'd kiss his forehead and feel Nao's arm hold a little tighter on him.
And then, he'd let go himself to follow.
