I love this take on it. The Grand Canyon is quite a crack. I can't see your picture though!

Thank you! Sorry about that. I don't know what's causing it. I can see it fine, even when I log out, and Mike can see it too, so it isn't just my computer, I don't think. :/

I appreciate your honesty :) We don't all like the same things.

It's hard to know how any of us will react to something until we are faced with it. I know sometimes I am much more emotional about something than I expected. Kindness (which might make most people smile) makes me want to cry.

It sounds very overwhelming -- I am rather afraid that if I ever went to see it, I would react much the same. It seems so humongous, even in pictures.

haha, yeah, overwhelming. that's the word. i hadn't really thought about the size of it when I was looking at a picture, which is why it was such a shock.

I would live to see the grand canyon but I'm really nervous of flying! its good that people don't all get pleasure from same things. Diversity is brill.

if you ever do make it, make sure you take a coat or something - it's 8000ft above sea level, and really cold (but it was 30*C in Phoenix, even at that time of the morning).
