This week smells of Fail

So the next two weeks will probably be intensely crazy and lame and full of fail.

1) I have my first Microbio exam next Weds which I am not at all ready for. It SEEMS like it should be easy since we're dealing with a lot of basic stuff right now, but it'll be short answer/short essay type questions. So I REALLY have to know my stuff. And the story ( Read more... )

I don't know how you feel about dogs, and I only mention this because it was one of my resolutions to get more exercise by giving Lucy more exercise, but some of the people in our program have been volunteering walking dogs at local shelters. It gives the dogs attention and play time, and it gives the dogs AND the humans exercise. And it's free. Just a thought for a form of exercise that doesn't feel like working out and doesn't involve an expensive gym membership!

Wow that's actually a great idea! And since the weather has actually been pleasant lately that's a great way to get some fresh air too. Now if I can only get Dan to do it with me, lol. I might also have to be careful otherwise I'll end up bringing one of those dogs home with me!

Part of the reason we want to do the gym is that it's literally in our backyard (unfortunately we can't climb the cement wall that separates us), it has some good equipment for weight lifting, and I'm thinking the classes will be good motivation for me to do stuff. If I find something I like and I can find something that works, schedule-wise, I might actually keep it up. Might...

But you have such a great idea - thank you! I'll definitely look into it.

How bizarre; I'd never heard of this before, but my friend in LA mentioned that I should help her out with this just the other day. It sounds like it could be pretty fun.
