On being slightly sick and Avatar (spoilers)

So, it finally happened, I finally got sick and missed class. I've been doing so well too! I haven't been sick in a long time and I've had perfect attendence thus far! Fortunately, as a result of my perfect attendance and the fact that I try harder in my classes than I probably should (since the grades don't really matter) my teachers told me that

Jet is dead. The producer/writer people said so. Also there are no more air benders other than Aang; they also stated this. Unless they said it in some sneaky way to make loopholes, I can't remember.

My thought is that Iroh is hiding with the Lotus people, and Zuko will be the one to notice it and be like "hey lets go find them, maybe they can help." And thus they will find Iroh and get some help beating the fire nation and freeing all their friends. There's a really good theory that Zuko's mom might be in hiding with them too, but it's way too long to explain here, so I'll make an Avatar post later.

I know that Aang is supposed to be the only air bender left but I just feel like this is kind of lame. Since bending seems to be a hereditary trait, it feels weird that Aang will be the sole person responsible for passing this down. I dunno it just doesn't sit well with me.

I read an article that said the producer/writers said Jet was dead only it was generally the author's opinion; there was no real quote or anything and I woudl think that an issue like this would require an absolute quote... But whatever, that's what fanfics are for XD

Yeah I was thinking that Iroh would be with the Lotus people and Zuko would immediately notice it. But hopefully that will be after he earns their trust otherwise they might not believe him (and think it to be a trap or something). Also it would be good if his mom is with them. I like his mom.

It would be great if they could replace all the family paintings in the Fire Nation so everyone was SMILING and actually looked happy =P

Wait, what do you mean you don't want the female airbender to get with Aang? Are you a Kataang person?? (maybe you mentioned this before, and I forgot. Entirely possible)

Lol I'm neither Kataang nor Zutara actually. Although admittedly I do enjoy Zutara fanart/fanfiction more -they just tend to be cooler/more interesting. I just don't think that Aang should necessarily fall for an airbender should it be a female or something. I think it's best that she get w/ someone else to spread the air bending genes around rather than all the new generations of air benders being related to them for years to come. *shrug*

But maybe it's a recessive trait, so guaranteed airbenders will come from only other airbenders! :D
