I watched the final match of the World Cup today. As an avid French fan, I was totally devastated by the loss not only of the Cup, but of a hero of mine in Zinedine Zidane. He lost his head, and football lost a leagend. Hopefully history will remember him for his accomplishments rather than his admittedly amazing head butt of Materazzi. I'll be ( Read more... )

Although I was rooting for Italy, the match was cheapened by the events in overtime... I've watched from the quarterfinals on, more or less, and I think the Italy/Germany Semi match was the most intense match I've ever seen... I've thought about you every game... Are you going to be in Oly for this soccer stuff the next couple of days?

I'll be up in Oly sometime after the 24th. That's my last day of work down here. My actual arrival date will probably be closer to the end of July than that, but I'm just sort of floating around right now and avoiding making plans at all costs.
