We can has cool weather now? Yes? Please?

I thought I felt a sort of chill earlier, which is giving me hope that maybe that's the last of the heat waves. I hope so because I am ready for pants and long sleeves again and for not wanting to die a little bit whenever I step outside ( Read more... )

Amen. Please can I calibrate my wardrobe to operate optimally at 50 degrees? Because, okay, totally cool with the no sleeves thing, but I seriously am jonesing for a hoody.

(I seriously cannot believe you are taking a survey in order to mentally prepare yourself for being drunk. Just imagine the most mortifying thing you can do, give yourself a case of the giggles, and you're golden. Besides, I would totally explain it to you proper if you weren't so damn distracting all the time.)

Kaz says she knows poker! I vote we steal her so that we can learn proper in order to actually make this poker night happen.

Man. Yes! I could go for a hoody right now. Or a really over-sized sweatshirt. That would be perfect right now. C'moooon, cool weather!

(What? I'm curious! And I'm not sure I buy this "mortifying trip to Mortification Town" line you are pushing. If it's so mortifying, why do people do it? SO NOT MY FAULT.)

Ooooh. Actually learning how to play a game before that I am going to have to try to win at? I like the way your mind works, T.

How glad am I that we come from a place that understands the glory of a hooded sweatshirt? Answer? Pretty friggin glad. Though does this mean you have to get another magic make-over?

(Curious. Neurotic. Same difference. The whole Mortification Town thing is basically because you end up throwing your cares and inhibitions out the window and sometimes end up doing things you wouldn't normally. Imagine, oh let's say, just rolling with it. But like, to the extreme. And in public. OH FESS UP. SOME OF THAT WAS YOUR FAULT.)

Don't you take that tone of pen with me, young man.

YOU'LL TAKE MY LIFE BEFORE YOU TAKE MY COMFORTABLE COLD WEATHER CLOTHES. I like my summer wardrobe and all, but I need baggy in cold weather. It is required.

(And here I thought maybe I could learn to walk before I run. But that's not exactly the idea behind "just rolling with it" anyway, right? SOMETHING MIGHT BE MY FAULT. YOU BEING EASILY DISTRACTED IS NOT ONE OF THEM.)

I'll take any tone I like, thanks.

I think being drunk is different for everybody, kiddo. Some people get louder, some people get quieter, some get angry and some get all gropey.

Oh, geez. But none of that sounds like any fun? So why do it?

I am seriously going to cry all over anyone and never get invited out again. I know it.

Well, I drink because it relaxes me. It's just nice and---I don't know, floaty.

Just don't overdo it your first time.

Floaty and relaxing? That could be... a nice change.

I'll take your advice under consideration, B! Thanks!

I will miss the heat. I do not think chill agrees with me, but I am glad you are happy dear Hungry-flower~!

I know I've been drunk but I can't really recall what it's like. I get the impression it's... all very amusing.

I am afraid all I know are card tricks! &hearts

Oh, no? Well, at least you can bundle up, right? I think my issue with heat is that there's only so far you can bundle down.

Really? You're the first one to make it seem like it could be any fun.

I'm really looking for games right now, but you totally have to show me those sometime, okay?

Oh yes, there is advantage to winter. Coats. Oh the designs I have planned~~!

I think it is supposed to be! Where you enjoy time with good company, carefree and relaxed! Just do not over do it.

Of course dear. In turn, show me the games you learn! Together we shall be thoroughly entertaining with no less a tool than a pack of cards! &hearts

Always thinking ahead, huh, Iris?

Not over doing it is definitely on my list of things to do. As is being carefree and relaxed. Here's hoping.

Man, I bet you and me could do it without the deck of cards, but I say deal anyway.

It's a card game, of course! See Want? I always have the answers you need!

Y-you sort of sit around in a circle and keep putting higher and higher cards down in singles, pairs or higher...but two is higher than everything--

I don't really know why--maybe it was the inventor's favourite number...

And you use poker hands too!

That sounds... complicated? Maybe you could show me sometime?

And yeah, you totally always have the answers, Novs.

If this turns out to be autumn, I will be the happiest boy to ever live. I am done with summer for a while, and I was starting to get worried that maybe this place didn't do anything else.

You mean the whole "transported to a magic aboreal land which is out to screw us over all the time" part? Or was there additional suckiness?
