CHAPTER FIVE

There was an emptiness Yamada felt inside and he knew he needed to blame just this one person and that was only Yuto. When he went home after that night, he couldn’t help thinking what made Yuto say those things to him. He didn’t know Takaki, right? He didn’t know anything about them. He was just a mere someone that came into his life-unplanned.

But, why was he acting that way? He was truly hurt. And he knew why. He started opening his heart to the guy. He started hoping that maybe he can love him and be loved back. And that he can finally forget Takaki.

He was wrong. He was crazy for hoping that his father was right. That Yuto was the right man for him. He indeed can blame his father too. No, he wanted to blame everyone around him. They were all to blame.

Yamada sighed as he continued staring at the ceiling, hoping for a good idea to come up in his mind on how to forget what Yuto had done and said. But it was no hope… every words, and even his face when he was telling that was deeply carved to his face. His face was filled with grim and there were something hiding in his smiles.

He then reached for Takaki’s picture on his bedside table and stared at it with a smile. “How are you, Takaki? Are you living a happy life now? Is this the way I should live my life?” He asked as his voice was filled with sudden bitterness. As he continued staring at the picture of the guy he loved, he knew something was wrong. Something has changed. And that was his feelings… “You taught me how to be strong, Takaki. I hope I can use that when the worse comes.” He said but he himself didn’t know what he meant by that.

A knock interrupted his thoughts and he blinked back to reality. “Ryosuke-sama, Yuto-sama is calling for you in the phone. He said he wants to speak with you.” His personal maid said.

He rolled his eyes and took a deep sigh. “Tell him I’m never speaking to him.” He said calmly.

“But-“

“Go and tell him that!” He snapped as he shouted. Now, his personal maid was the one to blame too. He needed to do something with that.

Before deciding, he stood up from his bed and headed to the bathroom to take a bath. He smelled his self and he remembered he did not have one for two days.

Now feeling fresh, Yamada headed out from his room to have his breakfast. When he went down from the stairs, his personal maid rushed to him and bowed. He raised his brows and continued staring to him. “You’re fired.” He said calmly.

The poor maid stared at him in disbelief, and her eyes with tears forming in it. His guilt suddenly hit him but he shoved it off. He knew she did nothing wrong but he wanted her out. And that would be final. “You’re fired, I say.” He said again and continued to the dining area with his food waiting for him.

After eating, he called for the security guard and asked him to look for his new personal maid. And for a change, he wanted a guy. He found out his previous maid already went out and he felt bad for what he did but he shrugged it off.

He headed to the garden, and let his eyes roam around the place. Something has changed the place and he noticed something has changed with the flowers. The colorful flowers were suddenly withering and the noticed that the black rose he placed on the other side was blooming.

The place lost its ordinary colorful sight but it was still good to look at. The black petals were shining with a bit of dew hit with the sunlight. He smiled contentedly as he remembered his mother saying that black flowers symbolizes for you eternal love for someone. Now he wondered if a time would come where he could give that flower to someone.

He continued his way to the wooden table and sat there, thoughts filled with his memories of Takaki… and Yuto.  He tried asking his self what was really the similarities between them two. Their scent, their sheepish smile, their piercing and their guts. That was all he can say but he knew there was still something and that he couldn’t just pinpoint it.

He heaved a sigh as he stood up from where he sat and came nearer to the black roses. He then got one and smiled while looking at it. He looked around as he noticed someone was standing afar from him. He watched him as he stayed holding the flower that was on his hand.

“A black rose symbolizes for revenge. Do you know that?” The cute guy asked as he stayed looking back at him and stayed there, standing with a black bag on his hand.

“No. It’s for eternal love. My mother said so. And you are?” He asked.

“Chinen Yuri.” He said as he bowed down. “Pleased to meet you, Ryosuke-sama.” Then he smiled.

He stayed looking at him and he forced a smile. He didn’t know why but something was bothering while looking at his guy… at his new personal maid. His eyes were beautiful while looking at him but it was filled with sadness. Or rather, it looked blank. And those smiles, there was something hiding beneath it. Someday, while this guy was staying at his side, he would surely unleash it.

He looked at his hand that was stinging as he didn’t notice the thorn from the black rose pricked his soft palm. He put his hand and watched as some of his blood mixed with the black rose.
