They come and go,
I always knew they would.
But when did she go?
All of a sudden, there's no trace of her.
Anywhere.
I keep hearing familiar sounds,
the silence is deafening.
I'll leave again.
My chest open, swollen, half-hearted.
Betrayed by the one who'd never betray.
I guess that's how it always happens though.
At least in my experience.
