HMV Playlist CDs are a bit rub really, aren't they. This month's - well, last month's, which I Got on the last day of last month - was nothing to write home about. Sway and Coldcut (featuring the utterly unmistakable voice of Rodney Manuva), a not very interesting effort from Tiga, Barefoot's faithless reinterpretation of Born Slippy, a good Idiot ( Read more... )

Arctic Monkeys album came out in my country last week but I didn't buy it. I did make a special trip to the store for it but when I got there I got totally sidetracked with The Field Mice's first album reissue and a single by local San Franciscan band called Empty Rooms which turned out to be a mistake, but hey, you gotta support local acts, otherwise what good are you? Yeah, I wanted to know what all the hubbub was about because I don't live in England so I have not been infiltrated with BetchaLookGoodOnThe... in fact, the only Monkeys song I have ever heard is Fake Tales Of San Francisco, which I have since grown bored of. But I understand that was a weeker song anyway. I still want the album, hopefully no,really will put up a review shortly. I do hope you eventually get into the Clap Your Hands Say Yeah single. Though, I don't know which one you've got, I quite like them. They took me a little while at first then one day it just hit me square in the face.

seriously. it's a hubbub based album i think. nowhere near as good as a dozen others you could get but you've kinda gotta have it, y'know. like big brother. you don't wanna watch it but you need to know who's in the house.

actually, i never know who's in the house. however i did think i should buy the album. it's good. maybe really good but i've only half listened to it once at work so far.

dum dum daaah! the plot thickens. etc.
