I normally ignore memes, since I know for a fact I don't resemble a Lord Of The Rings or Star Wars character, or a Tarot card. But finally, here's a meme I can get into. renegade500 gets the credit for "infecting" me. I worked on this post for a week! But what about Egan's style? I think he would be better for mokslo populiarinimas than for fiction.

True, his style is bone-dry, and most of his characters are rather flat, and yes, some of his novels would work better as popular science books. Then again there are others that actually do have a compelling story and characters one can identify with. "Teranesia" comes to mind. His short stories are even better in that respect.
