Sorry I can't be of much help on this one...I tried rollovers a looong time ago and had a similar problem. Something makes me feel like it would be easier for you to do them in css, if that's possible.

Yeah, I don't think I'm even going to bother with the UCLA portfolio. And if they make me do it, I'll probably just submit some graphic stuff I've done and be done with it. They kind of fucked me over the minute they responded to my email but didn't answer my question at all.
