The idea for this song came to me a year or so ago after hearing Daniel Glasser sing "Me 'n Jenny and the Lovely Marilu".

Those lyrics are a huge improvement on the original.

Of course, the original is one of the very few songs I've ever heard at a filk that I hate.

Very funny... I want to hear it too.

I'm not sure I ... like ... the original, I usually have a "I can't believe I'm hearing this" reaction to it, but I really like the way Daniel performs it. Heard it infrequently enough that I might not recognize the tune if you were to just start singing this. Hopefully I'd figure it out, though, because that is NOT what I want keeping me up nights...
