I am the NRA, thanks mostly to the post-Heller Illinois lawsuits... but if I wanted to augment that by contributing to another organization that complements them (or contradicts them when necessary), would you say the SAF is the one to pick?

I'm the NRA mostly for the foundation work, like ranges, hunting preserves, safety classes, and events like Women on Target, as well as their monetary support of State-Run 2A foundations that actually DO get shit done.

But as far as the NRA-ILA and other political groups, they generally are spineless and suck out-loud. So I'm with you on that. I'll also note that the ILA is a separate org so my membership dues don't actually go to them in any way.

If you want youth hunting, or pistol safety training programs, or Eddie Eagle, or you want to go to gun shows for a bit cheaper, join the NRA. If you want to get gun rights laws passed, and anti-gun politicians booted from office support the local 2A groups in your state or any state you're concerned with.

I will now plug my org, and point out that victories here in Massachusetts will stop many anti-gun bigots from passing similar laws in your home state. We are at war, and states like Massachusetts, Illinois, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, California, among others are the front
