Oh, I was so excited to see this!

And fun.... I normally don't like Nanjirou, but he was a help here. And I bet it was nice to see something familiar in all this insanity for Ryoma; nice that even if his father is something different, there's that familiarity to keep him grounded. Poor kid!

Aww, I'm so glad you're still reading, thanks for your comment! ^_^ And I'm not terribly find of Nanjiroh myself (talk about an embarrassing parent!), but I agree that he can be a helpful addition in small doses. XD

Yes! Finally! *cheers* I've been checking back every now and then ... I'm so excited to see an update!

Anyway, another great chapter as usual. I enjoy seeing Tezuka's interactions with Echizen and Tachibana, in particular.

It was very surprising to see Nanjirou show up, of all people, but I like your implication that he quit tennis in order to protect Ryoma and assist him in his task. The canon explanation is a bit unsatisfying ... I think you did a fine job with the character, although I think he was known as "Samurai Nanjirou" and not just "Samurai" (it sounds a bit odd when Tachibana calls him by the latter form).

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the next updates. And when the story's this good, the longer the better!
