RULES OF THE GAME

Dec 18, 2008 16:27

These are important rules, ignore and you shall face the consequences.

Game Genre: This game exists on an alternate universe, set on modern day japan, in a fictional place known as Rakuen Global City. The game chronicles the lives of human beings collectively branded as Slashers, Occupation: Part Time Everything. More information about the game posted here. We also suggest that you read EVERY available information first in this RP before joining.

CONTENT RATING: This RP is meant for those who can handle mature content. Mainly because of possible themes that may ensue like, but not limited to, violence, homosexuality, death and sex (implicit/explicit). We are not responsible on checking every member's age, thus we can't regulate it. We also follow a content rating system so players should read and join logs at their own risk. Example: If you are below 17 or you think you can't handle NC-17, don't read logs tagged with that rating.

Application: Information regarding applications can be found here. That is also the place where you post your claims. We look at applications as soon as we can. You do not need to message us all the time regarding it. You can message us to follow up if you want but do it politely or we will reject your application, no matter how amazing you think your character is. If there is nothing wrong with your application, we approve it immediately. But if we think revisions are needed, we will inform you quickly.

Godmodding: A big no-no. You should not make characters that can never be defeated / supertalented / flawless. You can never decide what happens to other muses. You cannot decide the actions of characters other than your own.

Metagaming: Also a big no-no. Keep OOC information OOC. Do not bring it to an IC situation. Also, no mun drama allowed in the game. Settle conflicts by yourselves. Ask the mods if you need any mediation. IC drama is allowed as long as it stays IC. Simple equation: OOC =/= IC.

Muse Squatting: Another big no-no. Even if you are very active with one of your muse but If you keep one of your own muse idle, that idle muse would be cut from the game. A muse must show activity within two weeks of being approved.

Respect. Respect everyone in the game. No trolls. No total jerks. Try and we'll kick you out quickly. Be a jerk in your own community. Also, if you hate Slash and Het, and have tendencies of spreading hate on certain pairings, this is not the community for you. Respect other player's OTP's or whatever pairing they suddenly decide to create 'in game'.

Active Participation: We want this game to be fun and not to be a chore but please participate in the game actively. Please post something (NOTE: POST not SPAM) in the community at least once a month or participate in at least one log. Activity checks will be done on the 5th of every month and you'll be contacted for inactivity. if we don't get a response within a week, the character will be up for grabs again. Characters that only become active when Activity Checks are to be done will also be included in the CUT LIST.

Log Entries: All RP logs, even IM logs should be posted in the main RP community. Put IM(AIM/MSN/YM) logs under LJ cut. We encourage that you finish off logs before making another one to avoid having too much incomplete logs. More guidelines regarding posting log entries can be found here.

OOC Community: The OOC Community is solely for posting Hiatus/Return/Drop Notices, Introduction, and Mod Posts. No Spamming the OOC Community.

Hiatus: If you need to go on hiatus, have some courtesy and inform everyone by posting at the OOC community. Hiatus periods are only allowed for a maximum of 45 days. Go beyond that and we will have to cut you from the list. No exceptions.

Dropping: If you decide to drop, please post a notice and a quick rundown of what your character had been doing for the past in the game. The quick rundown helps others who want to claim the character after being dropped.

Three Strike Policy: Each rule has a three strike policy. 1st strike earns you a warning, 2nd strike earns you another warning and a 3rd strike cuts you from the game. An accumulated total of 5 strikes, all rules considered, also cuts a player from the game.

Moderator: Moderators have the final decision. They also have the right to drop muses if needed and within reason. You can contact any member of the moderating team if you have any game-related problems or major plot ideas. We're a bunch of nice people and we are usually objective when we decide. Also, if you think rules are being disregarded, INFORM THE MODS. Let us enforce the rules. Don't assume authority. And If you think we are at fault, inform us as well. We're just humans, imperfect.

Last Rule: Have fun, meet people and enjoy the game. Interact with everyone if you can. Try to avoid focusing on a certain clique.

Further questions, suggestions and violent reactions should be directed here.
