New era at OT: United accept Ronaldo £80m bid from Madrid

Guys,  it looks certain by now that Cristiano Ronaldo will leave Old Trafford. Manchester United official website confirmed that the bid's been accepted.
Honestly, I don't feel sad or angry at all. If anything, I'm excited for the next season already. I know we're selling our best player atm, but it's 96 million euros and it's too much for any

Villa is also joining RM.

But I'd like a wide player e.g. Silva/Ribery and a striker e.g Benzema, also maybe another creative central midfielder would be good. We will definately be able to survive without Ronaldo, I just hope it doesn't take time.

I'm not so worried about him going, I'm more worried about what's left in the squad. Giggs, Scholes, Van der Sar are all due to leave within the next one or two years, I believe, and the only experienced attackers we can count on keeping are Rooney and Berbatov. Here's hoping Fergie can come up with some good acquisitions this summer...

My ideal new line-up:

VDS

Rafael - Rio - Vidic - Evra

Silva - Anderson - Carrick - Ribery

Rooney - Villa/Benzema

I honestly like Villa & Silva better that Ribery & Benzemas as players. Nonetheless, Villa's been receiving offers from Chelsea and RM, while Silva's stated many times he'd like to stay in Spain. Either way, I tink we have good chances of bringing Benzema and Ribery and that'd be more than enough to compensate Ronaldo's exit.

Also, I absolutely love Agüero, but with Rooney already there, I wonder how much he'd contribute to the team. Villa or Benzema, on the other hand, could add an extra dimenson to our attack (like Berbatov supposed to, but failed last season).

Let's see. It's gonna be an interesting summer and an amazing 09/10 season.
