You know you need to do laundry when the only pair of socks you have left are Christmas-themed...and it's May. I can honestly claim that all nine loads of laundry are washed, folded, and put away where they belong. My arms have quit working, and my back is submitting its resignation as I type this. OUCH! Your day sounds much like mine: laundry, dishes. . . various chores. Although I did treat myself to a manicure today (the first in a years) because my nails were splitting.

Socks are the bane of my laundry existence, and one of the reasons I'm looking forward to moving is having my own laundry again. I have one in the house, but it's been shared by between one and three adult women upstairs plus the twin girls plus my own daughter and my absent-minded Ex, so some.... irregularities have occurred over the years. *sigh

I'm looking forward to your visit, and hoping we'll be able to provide you with a pleasant and relaxing time.

Yeah, my nails need so much attention it's not even funny. I used to get pedicures very regularly, too, but with work being the way it is that just hasn't happened. Manicures will pretty much get ruined after two days of working. I know that's why I've slacked off on their maintenance.

Phew! You've got a lot of people sharing those laundry facilities! I'm surprised you manage to keep even one pair together. Good luck, and you must tell me how having your own laundry is when you move.

I'm looking forward to the visit a lot, too. I've got my own little internal ticker counting down the days. I'm very excited to meet you and from what everyone's told me about the area, I'm sure I'll just fall in love with it and never want to leave. :)

btw, Did you ever get the last email I sent you? I know our email traffic gets kind of funny sometimes.

Fortunately, the laundry situation has simplified with the Ex's exSO moving out a couple of weeks ago. (One of many benefits!)

I did get the last email you sent, and I even looked at it again a couple of days ago, but things have been so overwhelming that I just haven't had the time to respond properly.

I just got back from a 5 mile walk with a_belletrist and the guys, and I'm pooped! I'm going to have a snack, then a nap, and then see about helping my daughter excavate her bedroom.

What a busy day! No worries on the email, like I said, I just like to check that it made it through okay. Congrats on the 5 mile walk! I love hearing your updates on how things are going and I'm so proud of you for sticking to it, even when you're tired/busy/irritated/etc.

Good luck with the excavation. I hope no one gets lost in the process.
