Once I spilt nail polish remover into my keyboard, and the "g" and "h" stopped working. For important stuff I would find those letters to cut and paste, but for everyday typing I'd just leave it. The folks in the chat boards I'd frequent started to think of it as a funny accent.

Also, now my notebook won't stay open at a < 90 angle unless I prop it up against something. >(
